Our times together vary in emphasis. The regular gatherings mentioned here are the meat-and-potatoes of our ministry and thus reflect the essentials of a gathered church: study of the Word, prayer, and pure fellowship.
Small Group ::
Thursday nights we meet in small groups for Bible study and fellowship. There are many advantages of being in a smaller and gender specific setting and many will find this to be a place where they are very much at home. We have found this to be a valuable part of the work.
Prayer Breakfast ::
Saturday mornings we simply gather to pray and eat.
Wednesday Night ::
We have an evening meal provided at church on Wednesdays followed by a service of prayer, singing and preaching. The high school and jr high meet together during this time. We work our way through specific books of the Bible - exegeting the Word of Life as we go. Proverbs, Genesis, Ecclesiastes, Mark, and Philippians are recent examples.
Lessons in Maturity ::
The girls get together one Thursday a month to be taught by various ladies in the church and in a unique setting. The girls even have a "lab time" where they learn to some practical life skills - usually provoked by questions from the girls.
Maintenance Counseling ::
Every September Pastor Brian clears the schedule to meet with all the youth individually. We call it “maintenance” because nothing is specifically wrong. They will discuss devotions, prayer life, friends, and gospel clarity. All students are urged to sign up.
