Our schedule is also loaded with social activities of a wide range. Fun itself is not our highest aspiration. Everything is meant to build something much bigger than that. So in creating common experiences we have the goal to build bridges and tear down stereotypes. And in our working together on a common goal we try to to build camaraderie. We want to cultivate relationships with fellow sojourners in Christ that will help us "run the race set before us." Friendship always has the goal of discipleship, for without this we are just another social outlet.
Agape Film Fest ::
Throughout the summer we act, direct, and produce short films to be shown at our big event, the Agape Film Fest. We select a biblical theme or section of Scripture and then break into teams to get it done. This has become one of the biggest events of the year for us. It has been going strong for 7 years now and the rewards are always surprisingly beneficial for the whole scope of our ministry.
New Years ::
We gather together on the eve of the new year to laugh, fellowhsip, sing and rejoice the whole night through.
Weekend Retreats ::
We schedule one or two of these a year with like minded churches. These are some of the only things we charge for during the course of the year. Watch the calendar for more.
Sr. Banquet ::
We celebrate our graduates at the close of the school year with a snazzy event to remember. Parents, siblings and sponsors pull this together for them every year.
Helping Hands ::
This is when we get our hands dirty with some practical, hands on, service activities. We step in and lend a hand to some folks who could use it. It’s amazing how a little service can endear you to a person for years to come.
