It feels like it has been way too long since I was granted the opportunity to open the Word on a Wednesday night. I don't particularly like the break. I feel a bit out of whack. No good.
Tomorrow we will be back in Proverbs. We will be mining for gold, precious nuggets found in the that befuddling mind of Solomon.Without feasting on the Word what hope do we have? Without His wisdom we are simply groping around in the dark looking for something legitimate, something that feels real, to base life and living upon. God's word turns on the lights. Proverbs guides us on the path of skillful living, living a life that is pleasing to God. Being pleasing to God is not something that we figure out by trial and error. It is only discovered through revelation. The specific revelation of His word. God has not left us in the dark. He has given us a light. We just need to flip on the switch.
To open the Word and cut it straight - this is my privilege. And it is my fear to do this wrong. I am looking forward to our gathering, I hope you are too.
much love, bg
